Our Philosophy of Care

At NeuroDverse, we are dedicated to serving children and their families with compassion, respect, and excellence.

After years of experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), our founder, Gretel Debasa, identified an important need: for ABA to become more inclusive, flexible, and human-centered. She saw a gap in services — children with developmental delays but no formal diagnosis often had limited access to therapy, even though their needs were just as important as those with a diagnosis.

Inspired by her belief that every child deserves the opportunity to grow, Gretel created a space where therapy focuses on potential, not labels. In 2022, NeuroDverse was born — a company built on the vision of merging science, respect, and love.

Our mission is to provide high-quality, individualized intervention in environments that nurture confidence, connection, and independence. Every child receives a program designed around their unique strengths, needs, and learning style.

At NeuroDverse, we don’t focus on what a child can’t do — we focus on what they can achieve.
We are committed to always doing the right thing and to creating extraordinary outcomes for the children and families we have the privilege to serve.

OUR APPROACH

Early Intervention with Parent Involvement

neurodverse 2 ready.png

At NeuroDverse, we believe that early intervention, guided by respect, understanding, and acceptance of neurodiversity, is the key to meaningful and lasting progress. When developmental needs are identified and supported early, children have greater opportunities to strengthen their skills, build confidence, and thrive across all areas of life.

Our approach is rooted in the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and the values of Respectful Parenting, combined with a neurodiversity-affirming perspective that celebrates each child’s individuality. We see every child as a unique person — not a diagnosis — and we focus on nurturing their strengths while supporting areas that need growth.

We also know that parents and caregivers are the heart of every child’s progress. Lasting change happens when families are informed, involved, and empowered. That’s why our programs integrate child-focused therapy and family coaching, ensuring that parents understand each step of the process and feel equipped to continue supporting their child at home and in everyday life.

We provide families with the knowledge, tools, and emotional guidance they need to recognize early signs of developmental differences, respond with empathy, and create environments where their children feel safe, capable, and valued.

At NeuroDverse, we don’t just teach skills — we build relationships, confidence, and connection through play, respect, and collaboration.

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Gretel Debasa Marimon!

I'm a behavior analyst, mom of one and founder of NeuroDverse. When I was first started out my practice, I was not a mom. I thought this would be problematic creating strategies that work for parents and kids, but it was not. Even when I had not the parent experience, I used to be a kid, so I knew how that feel and I took it from there.

Since I was a child, I found my passion on communicating with others and understanding the wires that were inside us when behavior shows. The behavior is just the iceberg tip, but since is the visible part, I start working on it for development. My foremost goal is to improve the lifestyle of the children and families I work with by teaching them everyday life skills. I love to train kids reach their full potential and looking always for the child behind the behavior.

I'm graduated from Havana University (Cuba) in 2010 with a Bachelor of Sciences in Psychology and completed a master's degree in special educational needs and early care from Valencia International University later on 2020. My experience includes working with children from 2 to 7 years old specialized in children in the autism spectrum and other related disorders since 2016 as my professional practice in the United States. I regularly attends trainings and workshops to maintain current knowledge in the field of parenting, children development and Applied Behavior Analysis.

In my free time I love being a mother, staying with my family, travelling, spending time by the ocean and gathering with friends.
